How to Enter

  • 1
    Obtain the addon from CurseForge or Wago Addons.
  • 2
    Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the addon.
  • 3
    Don't forget to record video footage of your best runs. (This is now required to validate winners, see the FAQ).
  • 4
    Set your best times in each of the basic races.

    Submit your scores and see where you end up on our global leaderboard.

    Keep improving your times before it’s too late!

Rules

  • Complete all 6 courses on basic difficulty as fast as you can.
  • You have unlimited attempts until the end of the competition.
  • DON'T use the new Algarian Stormrider Gryphon mount (which is unlocked by purchasing the Heroic or Epic Edition of The War Within Expansion).
  • No cheating! (This includes any hack, glitch, or exploit that gives you a pre-start advantage).
    • Basically, anything that isn't clicking start on the NPC whilst stood still.
    • This also means no warlock-gating, or something similar, mid-race.
  • No account sharing.
  • If you place within the top 6 when the competition ends, you must provide video proof of your runs, so we can confirm legitimacy of your times.
    • We advise all Dragonriders to record their times from the start.
  • Most importantly... have fun!

Which are the 6 races I need to complete?
You will need to complete the following races in The Emerald Dream;
  • Canopy Concours
  • Emerald Amble
  • Shoreline Switchback
  • Smoldering Sprint
  • Viridescent Venture
  • Ysera Invitational

Do I need to unlock The Emerald Dream to do these races?
Yes, you will need to do the initial starter quest "Call of the Dream", to unlock The Emerald Dream.
Why do I need to give video evidence of my times?
Ultimately, we learnt from Season 1 that there was multiple new ways of ‘exploiting’ cropping up every week. To ensure competitive integrity all around, we thought this would be the best approach.
Can I use the new Algarian Stormrider Gryphon mount?
You cannot use the new Algarian Stormrider Gryphon mount (which is unlocked by purchasing the Heroic or Epic Edition of The War Within Expansion). The mount has a unique dragonriding ability that would potentially make it unfair for those that have not pre-ordered the expansion.
Am I doing the advanced courses, or the basic ones?
We would like all competitors to do the basic courses, and see who can shave the most time off each one!
Why am I not showing up on the global leaderboard?
You need to have completed all 6 Races to appear on the global leaderboard, you will however appear on the individual courses if you have submitted those times.
Can I win multiple times with different characters?
Unfortunately no, we have tied the addon to your battlenet account, to ensure we get a fair spread of winners!
I live in a territory not eligible for prizes, can I still win?
Yes, anyone is free to enter the competition, however we are limited on where we can ship the prizes. If you were to win, you’re welcome to have the prizes shipped to a location within the eligible territories, and self-organize shipping to your ‘main’ location separately.
Do I have to share my scores on social media using #KDGP?
Nope, it is completely optional. However, we’d love to spread the word about the competition and bring it back in the future.
My addon isn’t working, how do I fix it?
If you’ve encountered a bug or have any concerns, please do get in touch at [email protected], and we’ll do our best to resolve everything promptly.
If I submit my information anonymously, how do I know if I've won a prize?
Even if you’re submitting your information anonymously, we will collect your contact details to ensure we can get prizes shipped to you.
Can I submit times on different characters?
Your times are submitted account-wide and the name displayed will be the character you submitted on.
